Despite rumors that he would marry actress Kim Sa Rang, soccer player Park Ji Sung has confirmed that he is dating announcer Kim Min Ji.

Park Ji Sung’s management company announced that the two will officially announce their relationship through a press conference that will be held at the Suwon World Cup Arena Convention and Wedding Hall on June 20.

The dating rumors surfaced after a local media outlet released photos of Park Ji Sung and Kim Min Ji walking around a park beside the Han River with their arms linked, and cheering for the Korean squad in its match against Iran.

Park Ji Sung is scheduled to present a scholarship in his name via his foundation today, and a press conference is to precede that where they will answer all the questions regarding their relationship.

Actress Kim Sa Rang and soccer player Park Ji Sung denied rumors of their upcoming marriage.

The rumor of their wedding was first distributed among various media outlets, stating that the names of the couple are listed on a reservation made at a local hotel. The report said, Park Ji Sung and Kim Sa Rang reserved the wedding hall at Hotel ‘L’. The wedding is scheduled for September.

However, Kim Sa Rang’s agency has strongly denied the rumors. “We’d like to clarify that Kim Sa Rang's scandal with Park Ji Sung is not true at all. All of the informations in different articles are all false, and according to the confirmation we got from Kim Sa Rang herself, the last time she met with Park Ji Sung was when they had an advertisement shooting two years ago.”

The agency added that it may consider taking legal action in the future.
